Feathers in the Sky
Feathers in the Sky is a short and emotional depiction of a young girl who leaves her tropical home to move North with her family. Based on true events, Monin travels from Puerto Rico to Meriden and is immediately surprised once she feels the difference!
Colonization has forced children like Monin to migrate from the sunny south to the icy north without the proper preparation for these changes. This causes fear, apathy, and anger, however, the experience of seeing snow for the first time can also bring joy!
*** Each copy includes the story in English, Spanish, and French. The book includes a dictionary, language activities, coloring pages, and DIY short story!
